Adventure

Some people consider just living in the North an adventure. Others think the same of trips in the "wilderness". One thing I've learned is that no matter where you are, what most people think of as "wilderness" is just someone else's back yard. Ideally, just living life should be an adventure, but too often, mundane day-to-day existence makes it hard to see the adventure that's there. Maybe my images will inspire you to go and have adventures of your own. Maybe not. I hope they do. If more people dedicated more time to finding the adventures in their lives, the world would be a much saner place.

In 2005 and again in 2006, I ran the Norman Vaughan Serum Run (www.serumrun.org), a 776 mile expedition which commemorates the relay of life-saving diphtheria serum from Nenana to Nome in 1925. I'm planning to take the team on the Run again in 2011.

A wide selection of my photos is online at SmugMug and Photozo.com. You can order prints and other merchandise through SmugMug. Some images are also available as note cards from Lead Dog Graphics.
